An AI assistant like Selo Assist answers only from what you give it. You do not need to write anything new to start, but a little preparation makes a big difference to the quality of its answers.
Start with your website
Your service pages, pricing page, about page and contact page are the core. Add your website address and the assistant reads those pages.
If parts of your site are out of date, fix them first or leave them out: the assistant will repeat what they say.
Add the documents customers ask about
Price lists, menus, brochures, terms and conditions, delivery and returns policies. Selo Assist accepts PDF, Word and text files of up to 4 MB.
Scanned images of documents do not work well; use files that contain real text.
Write down what only you know
Many answers live in your head: which areas you cover, whether you take walk-ins, how far ahead people should book, what happens if they are late. Write short notes for these.
Add FAQs for the top questions
For your ten most common questions, write a clear question-and-answer pair. These give the assistant precise wording for the things that matter most.
Leave out what should stay private
Internal prices, supplier details, staff information and anything you would not tell a stranger. Whatever the assistant knows, any visitor might be told.
